To Bleed or Not to Bleed takes you on an up-close and personal journey with Håvve Fjell’s internationally renowned performance group, Pain Solution. Covering the period from 2003 until 2015, told in the words of the performers themselves, and seen through the lens of award winning photographer Helene Fjell, this book is a must have for aficionados of sideshow, body art, extreme performance, and powerful photography.
Ever since my brother, Håvve Fjell, started the performance group Pain Solution, I have been photographing. In 2015 we made the bokk To Bleed or Not to Bleed. Hard work, hours of planning and many meetings!

Clothing and Accessories are designed and made by Anita Skrautvol. Models: Rikke Pristed and Anita Skrautvol.
For a costume party Anita made a dress for herself and her friend Rikke, where Marshmallows were used as the main material. She used between 6500 and 8000 Marshmallows to create the dresses and accessory.
I met the two girls just before they were off to the party and made these images. Enjoy !
